According to POLITICO, Poland’s cryptocurrency exchange Zondacrypto is embroiled in a controversy involving allegations of regulatory issues, political donations, and links to Russian funds. The exchange’s CEO, Przemysław Kral, previously disclosed that the company has a wallet containing roughly 4,500 BTC, worth about $330 million, but because the previous executive, Sylwester Suszek, did not hand over the private keys during the 2021 transition and has been missing for years, the company is currently unable to access the assets in that wallet. Earlier, AP reported that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk had accused Zondacrypto of being supported by “Russian funds,” and that he had funded politicians connected to Poland’s former nationalist conservative government and the CPAC event held in Poland in 2025.
