Iran Reaffirms Control Over the Strait of Hormuz

On May 5, according to a report by the Iranian Students News Agency on May 4, in response to U.S. President Trump's plan to 'guide' stranded ships out of the Strait of Hormuz, Ibrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, stated that to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, one must either accept defeat, reach an agreement, and acknowledge Iran's dominance over the strait; or return to the battlefield and face further consequences.
