Techub News reports that, according to Cointelegraph, Dubai police led an international law enforcement operation last week, shutting down at least 9 cryptocurrency scam centers and arresting 276 suspects. At the same time, a Manhattan federal judge dismissed former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried's motion for a re-hearing. The operation targeted transnational crypto scam gangs, with the specific amount involved still under investigation. SBF was previously sentenced to 25 years in prison for FTX fraud, and the rejection of the re-hearing motion means the original sentence stands. The law enforcement progress in both locations demonstrates a continued global effort to combat crypto crimes.
