Recently, I started thinking about the numbers that show how much one of the richest people on the planet earns per second. And we're talking about Elon Musk — the guy who not only manages Tesla, SpaceX, and xAI but also watches his wealth grow literally every day.

According to 2024 data, his fortune was about $429 billion. Sounds unbelievable? Wait until you hear about the growth rates. Musk earns approximately $3,708 every second. To compare — that's more than the monthly salary of an average person. In one minute, his income reaches $222,500, which is comparable to the price of a good house in most countries.

Speaking in hourly terms, it’s about $13.35 million per hour. This means that in a couple of hours, he could afford a private jet. In a day, his wealth increases by $320 million — an amount that exceeds the annual budget of many countries.

By weeks, the numbers are even more impressive — about $2.24 billion in seven days. That’s the cost of a huge Hollywood film project earned in just a week.

To understand the scale, you need to imagine a simple comparison: in one second, Musk earns what an average person makes in a month. And in a week, his profit exceeds what others would need centuries to accumulate.

All of this is made possible thanks to the rise of Tesla stocks and promising projects in artificial intelligence and space technology. It’s fascinating to see how such large-scale financial systems operate in real time and how how much one person earns per second can be more than the annual income of an entire city.
