I found an interesting demographic trend. If you look at Iran's population over the past 75 years, there's simply a colossal growth — from 16 million in 1950 to over 92 million in 2025. That's more than a fivefold increase!

For comparison, Israel grew from 1.3 million to approximately 9.7 million over the same period. The growth rates are quite different. While Iran's population roughly doubled every 20-25 years, the process in Israel was slower.

A particularly noticeable jump in Iran occurred between 1980 and 1990 — an increase of 17 million people in just one decade. The current pace has slowed, but it still remains higher than that of neighboring countries. An intriguing statistic for contemplating the demographic differences in the region.
