The Trump administration halts onshore wind power development in the United States

British media reported on the 3rd that the Trump administration, citing “national security concerns,” has halted onshore wind power development in the United States, affecting approximately 165 projects, including dozens of wind farms that have completed negotiations and are awaiting final approval. The Financial Times, citing the U.S. Clean Energy Association and informed sources, reported that the U.S. Department of Defense, responsible for approving wind projects, has put on hold 165 onshore wind projects on private land, including wind farms awaiting final approval, some projects in mid-negotiation, and some projects that typically do not require DOD oversight.
