North Korea-Linked Hackers Took 76% of All Crypto Stolen in 2026

North Korea-linked hackers accounted for 76% of all cryptocurrency stolen so far in 2026, driven by two April attacks that drained $577 million from DeFi platforms. TRM Labs said the group has stolen more than $6 billion from crypto protocols since 2017. The two largest April attacks hit Drift Protocol for $285 million and Kelp DAO for $292 million.
