Day Ninety-Six · Holding no position is also a position
I used to think that not having a trade was a waste of the market.
Watching others make money is even more painful than losing money myself. So I forcefully open a position, trading just for the sake of trading. What’s the result? I entered when I shouldn’t have, held when I shouldn’t have, lost when I shouldn’t have.
Later I understood — holding no position doesn’t mean doing nothing, it’s waiting for a worthy opportunity to act.
Just like a hunter, he doesn’t shoot at everything he sees. He observes, waits, aims, then strikes precisely.
Most of the time, he’s doing the same thing — nothing.
Trading is the same. You don’t have to make money every day, you don’t have to catch every fluctuation.
When you don’t understand, wait; when you’re unsure, wait; when your emotions are bad, even more so, wait.
Holding no position is the hardest lesson to learn. Because it goes against human nature — being idle tests patience more than being busy.
But holding no position is not avoidance, it’s strategy. It allows your capital to rest, calms your emotions, and keeps you with bullets when the real opportunity comes. #WCTC交易王PK
