U.S. Treasury Secretary: The economic and financial pressures in the United States are "suffocating" Iran

BlockBeats News, May 4th, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen stated that the economic and financial pressure imposed by the United States is “suffocating” Iran, and hinted that the Tehran authorities will be forced to make concessions.

“Over the past 12 months, we have been running a marathon, and now we are heading towards the finish line,” Yellen said in an interview with Fox News on Sunday. Iran “cannot pay salaries to soldiers. This is a real economic blockade.” Yellen stated that as oil storage facilities are rapidly filling up, Iran may begin shutting down oil wells within the next week.
