New York Reaches $5M Settlement With Uphold Over CredEarn

New York prosecutors reached a $5 million settlement with crypto platform Uphold over its promotion of CredEarn, a third-party crypto interest product. The case affected more than 6,000 users who invested $50 million and lost more than $34 million after Cred went bankrupt in 2020. Uphold must also strengthen due diligence for future third-party offerings.
