US House Passes DHS Funding Bill to End 76-Day Partial Shutdown
The U.S. House passed a DHS funding bill on May 1 to end a 76-day partial government shutdown. The Senate had already cleared the measure, sending it to the White House for President Donald Trump’s signature. The shutdown began on Feb. 14 and is described as the longest in U.S. history.
