I just saw an interesting ranking of the top 20 most important currencies in the world. I was surprised to see how the Kuwaiti dinar tops the list as the strongest currency, followed by the Bahraini dinar and the Omani rial. It seems that Gulf currencies dominate the top positions.

Further down the ranking are the British pound, the euro, and the Swiss franc, which are the most solid Western currencies. The US dollar ranks ninth, showing that although it is the global reserve currency, there are others with higher nominal value.

It’s also interesting to see how the 20 strongest currencies are distributed across different regions. From dollars of various Caribbean and Pacific countries to currencies from Asia and Europe. The Brazilian real closes the list in 20th place, representing Latin America in this ranking of the strongest global currencies.
