Just saw that Michael Jordan still leads the richest athletes in the world – with $3.6 billion! Crazy how much money that guy has made from the Nike deal. But what surprised me: Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi are also not far behind, with $1.2 billion and $850 million. LeBron, Magic Johnson, and even The Rock all have $800 million. It's also interesting that many of these wealthiest athletes in the world are no longer actively playing, but their net worth has still skyrocketed. Tiger Woods, Federer, Beckham – they now earn more from sponsorships and business deals than they did as pros. The numbers are, of course, estimates, but it still shows how absurd the wealth in sports has become. Who would have thought that Vince McMahon, with $3.2 billion, is almost on par with Jordan? Pretty crazy, actually.
