Square's John Squair, a cryptocurrency analyst, posted a message to his followers this week, sharing a video analyzing Brad Garlinghouse's statements, CEO of Ripple, during an event recently held in Las Vegas. The statements covered topics of ownership, regulatory frameworks, and the long-term structure Ripple is building around the XRP token.
Square's post addressed four direct claims: Ripple is the largest holder of XRP in the world, incentives are aligned, on-the-ground presence is expanding, and regulations are coming. The video provided the necessary context for each.
What Brad Garlinghouse Said
Ethan Cross, a member of Square's marketing team, provided voice-over commentary on the video, explaining Garlinghouse's observations point by point. The Las Vegas event had a noticeable impact, with the XRP logo appearing all over the Las Vegas Strip, and Garlinghouse described the level of engagement as stunning.
