Jinse Finance reports that on May 3, according to Iran’s Islamic Republic Broadcasting and Television, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Intelligence Department stated that U.S. President Trump’s letter to the U.S. Congress and his remarks about a new proposal for Iran indicate that he must choose between an “unachievable military operation” and “reaching a bad deal with Iran,” and that U.S. decision-making room has already been constrained. According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, Iran has submitted to the U.S. a new proposal comprising 14 points through mediation by Pakistan. The main contents include ensuring that no further military aggression occurs, paying compensation, and establishing a new management mechanism for the Strait of Hormuz. On the 2nd, Trump said he would soon evaluate Iran’s new proposal, but he “cannot imagine” that the proposal “can be accepted.” (Xinhua)
