Abstract generation in progress

I’ve always wanted to understand what this word really means in the crypto community. It turns out that “worker” is not just a trendy slang term, but a quite specific role within the ecosystem.

Basically, a worker is a hired employee who takes on specific tasks under a contract. Usually, this scheme arises when a person has money and ideas but lacks the desire or time to handle all operational issues themselves. That’s where the worker comes in to help with execution.

This often happens within crypto teams, where different people come together to work on a project. The investor funds the project, and the workers provide the actual on-the-ground activity. Tasks can be one-off or ongoing collaborations.

Interestingly, this is a pure Anglicism, but in the Russian-speaking crypto environment, the word has become commonplace and is used as a matter of course. Everyone understands what is meant when they talk about finding workers for the next project.
