Shandong Provincial Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow severe convective weather warning on May 3rd.
Affected by the strong convective cloud system, Dezhou, Binzhou, and Dongying have experienced thunderstorm winds of 8 to 10 levels.
It is expected that from the evening to nighttime on the 3rd, Binzhou, Dongying, Jinan, Zibo, Weifang, Linyi, Rizhao, Qingdao, and Yantai will experience thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing hail, accompanied by thunderstorm winds of 8 to 10 levels, and some local areas exceeding 11 levels.
This strong convective weather process involves thunderstorm winds combined with cold air winds, with relatively strong wind forces, which may adversely affect outdoor tourism, maritime safety, transportation, agricultural production, and outdoor work.
This period coincides with the May Day holiday, so please pay close attention to weather changes and take precautions against thunderstorms, strong winds, lightning, and hail.
