Brazil's Central Bank to Ban Stablecoins and Cryptocurrencies in Cross-Border Payments

On May 3, Brazil’s Central Bank prohibited the use of stablecoins and cryptocurrencies for settlement in cross-border payments, with the regulation set to take effect on October 1.
