On May 3, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held phone talks on Saturday with the foreign ministers of Japan and Italy, outlining Iran’s diplomatic efforts to end the U.S.-Israeli aggression and emphasizing the need for responsible action from the international community. In his conversation with Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, Araghchi discussed bilateral relations, the regional situation, and Iran’s ongoing diplomatic initiatives to end the war and ease tensions. Araghchi also spoke with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, focusing on the latest regional developments, ceasefire efforts, and diplomatic actions. He expressed regret over the unconstructive and irresponsible repetition of incorrect clichés by some European countries regarding Iran’s nuclear issue, stressing that Iran’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful. He urged these countries to condemn the U.S.-Israeli aggression and hold them accountable for their serious violations of international humanitarian law.
