“I will review the proposal Iran just submitted to us as soon as possible, but I can’t imagine it being acceptable.” Trump wrote on Truth Social, saying Iran “has not yet paid a high enough price for everything it has done to humanity and the world over the past 47 years.”

Mediated by Pakistan, Iran submitted a new proposal with 14 points, calling for an end to the war, the simultaneous lifting by the US and Iran of restrictions on the Strait of Hormuz, and a temporary pause in nuclear discussions. However, the US insists that nuclear issues must be resolved first: “Under no circumstances will we allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons.”
