The 2026 Interagency Joint Meeting of the Prevention and Crackdown on Illegal Financial Activities (Expanded) and the Mobilization and Deployment Meeting for the Overall Campaign against Illegal Financial Activities was held in Beijing on April 22.
The joint meeting decided to launch a three-year overall campaign to prevent and crack down on illegal financial activities starting in 2026.
It is understood that since the two-year nationwide special campaign against illegal fundraising began in 2024, a number of major cases have been effectively investigated and prosecuted, the three-tier local mechanism for preventing and cracking down on illegal activities has been fully established, industry-wide joint management has been continuously strengthened, publicity and education have become more widespread and in-depth, and significant phased progress has been made in the work of preventing and cracking down on illegal activities.
The joint meeting decided to build on the previous two-year special campaign and, starting in 2026, carry out a three-year overall campaign to prevent and crack down on illegal financial activities, consolidating and expanding the achievements of the special campaign, and achieving normalization, institutionalization, and standardization of the work to prevent and crack down on illegal activities.
