TermMaxFi @TermMaxFi's core insight: A complete strategy must include a clear exit mechanism
Many strategy designers habitually focus on "how to enter" during planning but often overlook an equally critical issue—how to exit. A strategy lacking a clear exit path is fundamentally incomplete.
In traditional DeFi environments, this problem is especially prominent. Since loans usually have no fixed term, funds can flow in and out at any time, and exit decisions heavily depend on external market conditions: whether prices are favorable, liquidity is sufficient, and interest rates remain attractive. This causes exits not to be "designed outcomes" but "waiting outcomes." Once market conditions worsen, investors are easily forced into passive position extension or even compelled to take on additional risks.
TermMaxFi @TermMaxFi fundamentally changes this situation through fixed interest rates and clear deadlines.
When you enter a strategy, you also determine the exit point, embedding the exit path directly into the product structure.
This design offers significant structural advantages:
• Emotionless exit decisions: No need to constantly judge "whether to exit now," as the fixed cycle itself defines a clear exit boundary;
• Complete strategy closure: From entry, execution, to exit, each step is completed within a preset framework, avoiding open-ended uncertainty;
• Effective risk foresight: Investors can thoroughly assess the worst-case scenarios for the entire cycle at the start of the strategy, rather than facing indefinite uncertainty.
More importantly, a clear exit mechanism can optimize entry decisions in reverse. Only when you know how to end will you be more cautious about how to begin.
Essentially, a mature financial strategy should have three core elements: entry logic, execution path, and exit mechanism. Missing any one of these will undermine the entire structure's stability.
TermMaxFi @TermMaxFi's value lies not only in improving strategy execution efficiency but also in making the strategy truly "complete."
When time is explicitly defined, exit is no longer a problem but part of the design. This also requires participants to upgrade their thinking: from simply seeking opportunities to building a complete closed-loop strategy.
In financial markets, making money is just the process; being able to exit smoothly is the ultimate goal.
