Iraq announces the opening of all entrances to the Green Zone in the capital Baghdad

On the 27th local time, Iraqi Prime Minister Sudani instructed the opening of all entrances to the Green Zone in Baghdad starting from 6 p.m. that day. Since the U.S. launched military operations against Iran on February 28, the U.S. Embassy in Iraq located within the Baghdad Green Zone, the Rahid Hotel where multiple foreign diplomatic missions are stationed, and other sites have been targeted by drone and rocket attacks. Subsequently, Iraqi security forces deployed armored vehicles and concrete barriers at various entrances to the Baghdad Green Zone to impose a blockade. (CCTV News)
