Michael Saylor's team at STRC finally responds to Schiff
Schiff doubted the current price of Bitcoin, pointing out that investors are paying more than they should. And he wrote on social media: "Anyone paying $78,000 to buy Bitcoin isn't getting a cheap price."
He added: "Just because some people paid more doesn't mean paying less than they did is a winning deal." STRC staff responded with a sarcastic comment directed at Schiff.
They wrote: "Are you thinking of Saylor again? Remember, he’s not thinking of you." The sarcastic reply highlights the current tension between Schiff and Michael Saylor's camp.
However, Saylor remains a strong supporter of Bitcoin as a store of value in the long term. But Schiff predicts a collapse in Bitcoin's price despite MicroStrategy buying more Bitcoin.
Referring to Bitcoin Conference 2026, Schiff compared the current excitement to previous market hype cycles. He noted that "the big hype last year" was about NAKA stock, saying that the asset's value has since dropped by more than 99%.
He warned that "MicroStrategy" might face the same fate. Schiff also claimed that investors buying now could lose as much as they will by next year's conference.
