Gemini Gets CFTC DCO License to Build In-House Derivatives Clearing

Gemini’s Olympus division has received a Derivatives Clearing Organization license from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, allowing internal clearing for its derivatives business. Gemini said Olympus can now handle settlement, risk management, and collateral management without third-party clearing. Gemini already holds a CFTC Designated Contract Market license and is accelerating a Futures Commission Merchant application to complete its U.S. derivatives stack.
