I just found out that Jack Altman has just joined Benchmark as a general partner. Quite a move considering that just two years ago he went to invest on his own and founded Alt Capital. Bloomberg reported it on X and honestly it sounds like a pretty smart strategic move for the firm. I think Jack Altman brings valuable experience after these years navigating the market independently. The addition of someone with Jack Altman's track record probably significantly strengthens Benchmark's investment capabilities. Do you think this is a good step or do you see something strange about the timing?
