These days I've been looking into IBC and various "message passing" solutions, to put it simply, when crossing a chain, who do you really trust: whether the lightweight client verification logic has pitfalls, if the consensus of the other chain is stable, whether the relayer might block your messages, how to handle timeouts/rollbacks, plus whether there's a backdoor in the routing/permissions layer. Bridges are more straightforward, basically "someone else's multi-signature + a bunch of scripts," and I've almost memorized the past incidents... So I will try new chains, but first I will compare these components one by one against known issues.

Airdrop season is also quite surreal; task platforms and anti-witchcraft measures are increasingly resembling clocking in at work, and the points system forces people to cross back and forth all day. I used to say "I only look at on-chain data," but I found that not watching also affects emotions: everyone is frantically using bridges for points, which actually amplifies the risks. Anyway, I am now more frugal with cross-chain operations, preferring to make fewer trips.
