Standard Chartered Sees Tokenisation Reaching $2 Trillion by 2028 Despite DeFi Turbulence
Standard Chartered said tokenisation could grow from $35 billion to $2 trillion by 2028, with DeFi lending and stablecoins as the main rails for that expansion. Geoffrey Kendrick said recent DeFi stress does not break the long-term thesis because lending protocols remain central to how tokenised assets can be used onchain.
