Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Regional countries must remain highly vigilant and absolutely prevent the resurgence of Japanese militarism.
In response to the rapid growth of Japan's "new militarism" over the past month, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a routine press conference on the 24th that the world's eyes are clear-sighted. Japan, which is pushing for constitutional amendments, relaxing restrictions on the export of lethal weapons, deploying offensive missiles, and significantly increasing military spending, cannot hide its true intentions of paving the way for military expansion, no matter how eloquently it speaks.
Guo Jiakun said that Japan is also frequently interacting with NATO, attempting to introduce extraterritorial military organizations into the Asia-Pacific, and provoking confrontation is obvious. The lessons from history are not far away and must be heeded. Regional countries, including China, must remain highly vigilant, jointly defend the achievements of the victory in World War II, absolutely prevent the resurgence of Japanese militarism, absolutely prevent history from repeating tragedies, and absolutely prevent any person or force from undermining peace and causing harm to the region.
