Just read it, what are actually the oldest countries in the world? Crazy how far back some civilizations go. Iran has supposedly existed since 3200 BC, even before Egypt at 3100 BC. That’s just wild to think about.

Interestingly, countries like Vietnam (2879 BC), Armenia (2492 BC), and even North Korea (2333 BC) are also in the top ranks. China comes in at 2070 BC, India at 2000 BC. Georgia and Israel complete the list with each at 1300 BC.

The oldest countries in the world are based on the earliest known forms of government according to World Population Review. Sometimes you forget that these countries have such deep historical roots. Truly impressive when you realize — some of these states are older than anything we know today.
