Abstract generation in progress

Mars Finance News, May 2 — China’s first large-scale “Compute and Power Coordination” green electricity direct supply project — the China Datang Zhongwei Cloud Base 500k-kilowatt photovoltaic power station — has officially been put into operation, marking the realization of China’s “East Data West Computing” project connecting desert solar power directly to digital computing power. The project is located in Zhongwei, Ningxia, and is the country’s first comprehensive new energy demonstration zone. The project consists of a 500k-kilowatt photovoltaic power station, a 1.5 million-kilowatt wind farm, and supporting energy storage devices. “Green power direct supply” allows computing parks to use clean, low-cost, stable electricity, which can reduce operational costs for enterprises and decrease carbon emissions, achieving a win-win situation for economic and ecological benefits. After full capacity is operational, the project’s power generation will reach 4.3 billion kilowatt-hours, equivalent to reducing 3.65 million tons of carbon emissions annually. This can ensure the entire Zhongwei Cloud Base’s electricity demand of 2.29 billion kilowatt-hours, achieving a dual pursuit of green power consumption and grid stability. (CCTV News)
