Someone asked me, "Isn't IBC just cross-chain transfer?"… I’m increasingly feeling that each cross-chain operation actually splits trust into several parts: the validators of the chain itself not causing trouble, the light client/relay not going offline, the channel configuration not being written incorrectly, plus all the tricks at the application layer. If any link loosens, it could get stuck or fail to recover. Recently, everyone has been complaining about validator income related to MEV and fair ordering, which I can understand. After all, when cross-chain takes longer, who goes first, who gets squeezed, all become quite sensitive. Honestly, my perfectionist side gets tangled up: it’s not that cross-chain isn’t possible, I just want to see if the liquidity and position distribution are stable first… then I wait too long and think, forget it.
