I only recently realized that everyone has been talking about a major public blockchain upgrade/maintenance these days, and speculating whether projects should move… My reaction has always been a beat slow; my first thought isn't "to migrate or not," but "who has the final say in voting." Frankly, many governance tokens now have turned into a delegate voting contest: big holders find a few "representatives," small investors delegate with a single click for convenience, and on-chain it looks quite democratic, but in reality, it's like handing the keys to the garden over to a few people to guard. Then everyone still expects them to think through the risks before and after key upgrades… I feel a bit uncomfortable about that. Anyway, my own approach remains conservative: if I can vote myself, I do; if I’m too busy, I participate less and earn less stacking, at least not handing over decision-making power and positions together.
