U.S. Senators Urge Meta to Resume Litigation Recruitment Ads

According to Reuters, on May 1, U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn and Amy Klobuchar pressured Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to restore litigation recruitment ads that the company had removed from its platforms.
These ads come from law firms recruiting clients to participate in ongoing cases, accusing social media addiction and harm to adolescent mental health.
Meta, Google, Snapchat, and TikTok face thousands of lawsuits triggered by these allegations.
The senators questioned whether Meta's removal was aimed at protecting its business model and stated that the decision could limit affected users' access to legal information.
