So apparently someone just revived the original Bitcoin faucet from 2010 and actually did a free bitcoin giveaway recently. Like, people could actually claim free Bitcoin by just doing basic verification. Wild right? They had a $1M BTC pool set up for it too. The whole thing was supposedly tied to Jack Dorsey and framed as some kind of performance art piece about Bitcoin's early days. I get the appeal honestly - it's nostalgic, connects back to when crypto was all about grassroots adoption and open distribution. But here's the thing that bugs me: free bitcoin giveaway campaigns always make me nervous. You see them pop up all the time and they usually want your wallet info or some kind of interaction that feels off. Like yeah, this one had historical credibility behind it, but still. The market seems skeptical too, which makes sense. Is this actually a meaningful throwback to Bitcoin's origins or just another trap dressed up in retro clothing? Either way, the free bitcoin giveaway nostalgia is kinda genius as a concept, even if I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole lol
