Just came across some interesting XRP wallet data that got me thinking about how many XRP wallets are actually out there. Someone shared a breakdown of the distribution, and the numbers are pretty wild. The average holding across all wallets comes out to around 12,350 XRP per wallet, which sounds impressive at first. But here's the thing - most wallets are actually sitting on way less than that. You've got over 1.3 million wallets holding just 20 XRP or less, and another 2.3 million in the 20-500 range. That average is getting skewed hard by the whales at the top. There are only 5 wallets with over a billion XRP each, but they're holding like 7.4 billion combined. At current prices around $1.39, that average holding is worth roughly $17,150, but the reality is most people in this ecosystem have pocket change compared to the big players. The community's been debating whether these numbers actually mean anything for retail holders. Some are questioning if the math even checks out, others pointing out that the concentration in top wallets makes the whole average pretty misleading. Either way, it's a solid reminder of just how centralized XRP distribution really is when you look at the actual wallet numbers.
