I have noticed that the debate about aliens still divides the community into two opposing factions. On one side are the conspiracy theorists convinced that authorities are hiding evidence of extraterrestrial civilizations, and on the other are skeptics who doubt these narratives.
Among the most critical is Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, who recently shared his perspective on the issue. On Twitter, he pointed out that there is currently no concrete evidence of alien visits to Earth. According to him, the UFO sighting videos circulating on YouTube are extremely blurry and unconvincing. Elon Musk raises an interesting point: considering that billions of people own smartphones with high-resolution cameras, shouldn't we have much clearer testimonies if aliens were truly visiting our planet? Yet, the videos always remain of questionable quality.
There is also the issue of cosmic distances. The spaces between planetary systems are so vast that a hypothetical extraterrestrial spacecraft would struggle to reach us with a crew still alive. Edward Snowden, the former government whistleblower, confirmed in a 2019 interview with Joe Rogan that even with access to CIA, NSA, and military data, he had not found convincing evidence of alien presence on Earth.
But here’s the twist: Snowden admitted that something unexplainable probably exists. The Pentagon itself has recently released documents and videos of encounters between military pilots and UFOs, acknowledging that these objects could have extraterrestrial origins. Meanwhile, astronomers continue scanning millions of stars searching for signs of intelligent life, with no concrete results so far.
What emerges is a complex picture: on one side, the scientific rigor of Elon Musk and other skeptics demanding tangible proof; on the other, the official admission that unexplained phenomena continue to occur. The mystery remains open, and the debate about aliens shows no signs of calming down.
