CoinWorld News reports that U.S. President Trump stated that a law restricting the use of force without congressional authorization is "completely unconstitutional," indicating he will not seek formal congressional approval to continue the war with Iran. He said: "This is completely unconstitutional, and it has never been used before. Why should we be an exception?" Trump's remarks represent the latest disregard by the current administration for the 1973 War Powers Resolution, which stipulates that if the president needs to continue using force beyond 60 days, he must obtain a declaration of war from Congress. Many lawmakers consider today as the 60th day mark, based on Trump's notification to Congress on March 2nd about the start of hostilities.
