So apparently Elon Musk house units are going for like $10k? That's wild if true. Saw someone mention it could actually solve a lot of problems, especially in places like Vietnam where housing costs are getting insane. These things are literally 40 square meters, prefab, crane-installed in hours. Sounds too good to be true but the specs are interesting - solar roof, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, built to handle storms and earthquakes.
What got me thinking is... why isn't this more of a thing? Like if the elon musk house price really is that low, you could stack them or connect them to make bigger homes. No massive construction projects, no crazy loans. Just buy land and install. For homeless solutions or affordable housing in cities, this could actually move the needle.
The elon musk house price point makes it almost too practical to ignore. You'd think more developers would be pushing this model, especially in developing markets. Not sure if the $10k figure is accurate or if it's just hype, but the concept itself is solid. Would definitely consider it if I had land somewhere. Way better than waiting years for traditional construction.
