The third time I see the word "modularization" being discussed loudly, my first reaction is still: what actual change does it bring to us regular users... Honestly, maybe it just means you don't need to understand how it splits transactions/ data and so on, but the feeling is: the same transaction is faster and cheaper, there might be fewer chains to switch between in your wallet, and retries after failures aren't as exhausting. If done well, Layer 2 is like switching to a smoother subway line, the stations are still the same.
But recently, AI Agents and automated trading are also popping up, kind of like "auto-order food for you"—convenient, yes, but also risky. Modularization fixes the roads, but that doesn't mean you can run blindly; authorization, signatures, permission management still need to be carefully secured... Anyway, I’d rather glance at the pop-up windows more often now than go back and reconcile on-chain afterward. Let’s leave it at that.
