Multiply by 24 Times, Figure AI Produces 1 Robot per Hour
Figure AI has recorded a significant surge in its production capacity by increasing output up to 24 times to produce one humanoid robot per hour. The U.S. robotics company is also targeting production of 55 robot units this week.
This capacity increase signals an acceleration in the development and commercialization of humanoid robots, which have still faced challenges in mass production scale. Figure AI has become one of the more aggressive players in driving efficiency in robot manufacturing as demand for automation grows across various industrial sectors.
The humanoid robots developed by the company are designed to help human workers, especially in logistics, manufacturing, and services. With increasingly advanced AI capabilities, the robots are expected to carry out complex tasks independently.
This move to expand production also aligns with a global trend in which technology companies race to build AI-based robotics ecosystems. Several major companies—such as Tesla with its Optimus project, as well as Boston Dynamics—continue to accelerate innovation in the same field.
Previously, Figure AI received investment support from various parties, including major technology companies and global investors who see substantial potential in the humanoid robot market. With this increased production capacity, the company aims to speed up the adoption of robots in the workplace while also reducing production costs through economies of scale.
