These days, someone is arguing again about whether secondary markets should collect royalties or not. To be honest, I understand both sides: creators want continuous income, while buyers are afraid of being charged fees that drain liquidity... But I personally care more about the "expectation" aspect. Rules today are one way, tomorrow they change, who would dare to support long-term? When I see those large transfers on the blockchain, or exchanges' hot and cold wallets being interpreted as smart money movements, I also get nervous. But then I think, in creator economy, it's not about who runs fastest, but about who can keep going and still sleep well. In response to your comment, "no royalties, free market"... I think freedom should have boundaries too.
