Analyst Anstey said the Federal Reserve appears to be entering a more complex phase of internal division after a rate decision that drew one vote for a 0.25 percentage point cut. Anstey said Hammack, Kashkari, and Logan favored keeping rates unchanged today and viewed the statement as leaning dovish, while Anstey read the wording as neutral.
