Recently, I’ve been forcing myself to “pause” more: pause and don’t click confirm blindly; pause to see whether this transaction is actually worth it; and pause on rushing—don’t let all kinds of migration rumors hype you into action. Layer 2 is indeed smooth and convenient, and gas fees are lower, but honestly, I still treat the mainnet like a “safety box.” For large or long-term things, I try to move them back to the mainnet whenever possible, even if it costs more, so I can sleep soundly. For everyday small interactions, I keep them on L2—less hassle, save money, and even if something goes wrong, it won’t be a major blow. Recently, that mainstream chain said it will upgrade and undergo maintenance, and the group chat is also speculating whether the ecosystem will “move house.” For my part, I’m pausing any additional buying for now, waiting until things settle, and then following my exit-plan schedule—don’t act on a whim.
