CFTC Sues Wisconsin Over State Crackdown on Prediction Markets

The CFTC sued Wisconsin after the state moved against prediction market platforms, making Wisconsin the fifth state targeted by the regulator in recent weeks. Wisconsin sued Polymarket, Kalshi, Coinbase, Robinhood, and Crypto.com on Friday over sports-related markets that it argued were unlicensed sports bets. CFTC Chair Mike Selig said states cannot interfere with federal law governing financial markets.
