So I was looking into where you can actually find affordable one bedroom apartment for sale these days, and honestly it's way harder than it sounds. Most apartments aren't even sold - they're just rented out by big companies. But there are still pockets where deals exist if you know where to look.
I found this study that looked at six cities where one bedroom apartments for sale are actually under $100k. Austin made the list, which surprised me since it's been booming lately. But apparently if you go to the outskirts or older neighborhoods, you can still snag something affordable. Cincinnati and Indianapolis are solid too - both pretty cheap compared to coastal cities. You'll probably need to hit the suburbs though.
Orlando's got a ton of condos apparently, so finding a one bedroom apartment for sale under $100k is more doable there. Portland and Salt Lake City round out the list. Portland's the same story - look outside downtown and you'll find options. Salt Lake City's market has been stable, which is nice if you want something reliable.
The real takeaway? You're not finding these deals in the hot markets. But if you're willing to search the suburbs and older areas, one bedroom apartments for sale under $100k definitely still exist. Just takes some patience to find them.
