I find that people are really quite double-standard: when making a quick profit, they just think "Hmm, okay," click a couple of times and then let it go; even a few tens of dollars in a quick loss makes their brain go into overdrive, like a pop-up window has opened. They secretly check the K-line chart before bed, even though they have no intention of selling immediately... Basically, it's loss aversion—losing feels like being called out, while gains feel like free money that doesn't count.

Recently, hardware wallets have been out of stock again, and phishing links in groups are happening frequently, which makes me even more anxious: on one hand, afraid of losing, on the other, afraid of being robbed before I even lose. I now force myself to wait 5 seconds before clicking on links—better to look cautious, anyway, at least I can sleep a little easier. That's how it is for now.
