Just caught wind of QatarEnergy shutting down a bunch of production including aluminum, urea, polymers, and methanol. They already halted LNG back in March too. The thing is, this directly affects Qatalum - that joint venture between QatarEnergy and Norsk Hydro. Hydro's obviously trying to figure out what this actually means for their aluminum operations there because right now it's pretty unclear what the real impact will be. When the news first hit, Norsk Hydro's stock bumped up 2.70% to $9.51 on OTC, but honestly nobody seems to have solid answers yet on how deep this cuts. Curious to see what Hydro comes back with once they get more details on this situation.
