Abstract generation in progress

Microchip has expanded its CLB-based PIC MCU portfolio with the introduction of the PIC16F13276 and PIC18-Q35 families. These new devices integrate CPLD-like programmable logic with embedded MCU control into a single chip, aiming to reduce latency, BOM, and board space in timing-critical systems for motor control, industrial automation, and automotive safety. With volume pricing starting at $0.32 and $0.62 respectively, the new MCUs are supported by a comprehensive development ecosystem including VS Code CLB tools and Microchip’s MPLAB IDE.
