Just saw that Hecate Energy is going public through a SPAC merger with EGH Acquisition - pretty interesting move for an energy infrastructure play. They're hitting Nasdaq under ticker HCTE with a $1.2 billion valuation. The deal brings in $155 million from the trust account to fund their utility-scale solar, battery storage, wind and thermal projects. Hecate's management team staying on, which is usually a good sign. What's notable is that Hecate's existing shareholders are rolling 100% of their equity into the public company - no dilution games. The whole thing should wrap up around mid-2026 if things stay on schedule. Makes sense for them to go public given how much capital these energy infrastructure plays need. Could be a solid play if they execute on their project pipeline. Anyone else watching Hecate or the broader energy SPAC space?
